Lambo Door Kit Instructions

This is a complete guide to installing Lambo doors on a generic vehicle. Most of the different models of car use the same procedures with exception to these models:-

Vauxhall corsa

Peugeot 106

Citroen Saxo

The 3 above cars require the old hinges removing and holes drilled and threads tapped for the attachment bolts to be fitted to.

BMW

Mercedes

The 2 cars above need extra brackets fabricated as shown in the installation instructions that come with the kit.

Installation

1/. Remove the Wings from the car, aide skirts and front bumper if needed for access. Sometimes easier to remove the front wheel too.

2/. Tape Both doors closed with masking/duck tape.

3/. Remove the Old hinges and flatten the area where the new Lambo door hinge will sit.

4/. Loosely Bolt on the New Hinge with the Long bolts provided.

5/. Fit the attachments to the shocks and then fit then remove the tape on the doors.

6/. Have an assistant open the door vertical whilst the shocks are fitted.

7/. Operate the Lambo door many times to let the door settle. Adjustments can be made up and down left and right.

Adjustment points shown in the picture below.

The slotted holes move the door towards or away from the wing. The hole at the top requires a Bolt fitted (supplied) to stop the door card hitting the door frame when at 90 degrees. The up and down stop utilises an allen key bolt and lock nut to contol where the door sits when closed. Operate a few times before replacing the wing as this is awkward to reach when the wing is back on. Finally when happy tighten up the main bolts.

8/. The wing has a return on the inside which requires some material removing so that the shock absorber does not catch and destroy it. A half moon shape should be cut from this return and either removed or folded back on itself. No damage should occur to the outside of the wing.

9/. Remove the door card and take up the excess wiring and feed through the gap between the door and the wing. Cable tie the cable to the hinge to prevent damage to the cable. If the wires are not long enough then they will need to be spliced and the wires extended and soldered back together.

10/. Refit the wing, stand back and admire.
