Q1/. How far does the wiring loom reach please? I have an MR2 Roadster, which is mid engine and wondered if there was enough cabling in the standard loom to go from the engine through to the dashboard.

A/. We supply the wiring kit with an extra metre long cable on request, cost £10.

Q2/. On the advert the gauge shows the air/fuel ratio readout, I have just installed it and it’s giving me Lambda readout. How do I make it give air/fuel ratio readout?

A/. Press the button on the front or use the Mega Tune app to change it.

Q3/. My CD-ROM was broken or missing in the post what can I do in the mean time?

Q4/. Hi, when fitting the sensor, what distance to the turbo is best to fit it?

A/. EGT needs to be close to the port, but with turbo installations people like

to fit them in the exhaust elbow.

Q5/. Can you supply weld-in bosses for the o2 and Egt sensors?

A/. The Egt sensors come with a steel threaded boss that can be tapped or

Welded.  The bosses are available from motor factors that sell exhaust

components.

Q6/. Can you adjust brightness of the gauge?

A/. Yes, through the software provided. You can also change the display so that it shows in reverse for head up display

Q7/. Could you explain how the air/fuel read out is metered? I.e. what does a

14:1 stochiometric ratio read as? And does it measure the inlet or exhaust?

Also does the gauge look like a circuit board or is that just the flash

reflecting when the picture was taken?

A/. AFR is metered using the LSU4 lambda sensor, it can be displayed as either

lambda (which is fuel neutral-stochiometric will read 1.0) or as AFR,

which will show 14.7 on the display for stochiometric.

The gauge shows the circuit board if two different coloured L.E.D`s are used,

if only one colour is used we can use a blacked out screen.

Q8/. Can the EGT sensor be used direct into a Megasquirt ECU? I know the

VEMS is MS based so it should work.

A/. VEMS is NOT MS based!  The gauge can be configured to output 0-5v so if

the MS has a way of reading it then it might work.

Q9/. Do you sell the gauge in black?

A/. Single colour gauges have blacked out fronts.

Q10/. Does it have an inlet temp sensor?

A/. No.
